Simmtec designs, manufactures and resells computer memory modules. Simmtec started off brokering DRAMs and processors. In 1996, the company migrated to a memory module manufacturer which produced JEDEC compliant SIMMs and DIMMs. From 1996 on, Simmtec transitioned away from processors and focused more on memory; including proprietary, application specific and private label products. Simmtec has been an active JEDEC member since 1999. In 2002, the company experienced growth by launching its end user online retail store: www.majormemory.com. In 2005, the company expanded to an 11,000 square foot facility in Fremont, California. |
